I've been going here for 3 years and They have fair prices for a about 35 strains.

It seems their is a disconnect between the staff and the patients I'm not just speaking for myself I noticed the a change of things not for the better Perhaps if You didn't have to ask for your first joint and be told that their out and not offering a backup is not only chickenshit But shows disrespect for the cash patient.

My first time there I was with a friend, and didn't buy anything. Since I did not buy anything I assumed I was not considered a first time patient. I came back the next time with money in hand, and asked about the first time patient deal. He told me about it, and kept it pushin. When I asked for it, he told me I wasn't a first time patient and argued with me in front of other customers. I finally gave up and left. I do not like the atmosphere here. Every time I've been there I've regretted going. On the other hand they have a huge selection, but refuse to work with you on prices. I asked how much he'd give me for 37 dollars and he kept repeating how much a half eighth was.....I got that it was 25 for a half eithgh. How many grams will u give me for thirty seven was the question. I refuse to put any money in these rude peoples' pockets. Compassionate? Ha!

Awesome place. Very friendly. I come down from the Sierras to get my meds here. The people are very friendly and very helpful.I`ve been to many clubs, but I've never been treated this well before. A plus is the security guard at the door. Great selection, good prices. I always return.

I know 5 stars? It's not only because they have the best 5.00 dlr grams in the state (lol) but this is one club that aren't in it for the money. They are providing good service to the community and they even had 10.00 Christmas Trees. I got a 9 footer check them out if you have not been their yet

I am a 63 year old disabled veteran. I gave conventional medicine 15 years to ease the pain and discomfort I live with on a daily basis. When I discovered (to my astonishment) that marijuana could actually ease the pain for me, it was like a gift from the heavens. I obtained a medical marijuana card and began a lengthy search for a dispensary which I would feel comfortable doing business with. In my quest I have been to over 30 dispensaries around town. Initially they all say the right things. They claim the patients are their primary concern and their compassion knows no bounds. However, when you do the math, their claims are far more rhetoric than reality. Much to my good fortune my searching did not go in vain. I believe I’ve discovered the proverbial "diamond in the rough" when it comes to medical marijuana dispensaries. From the moment I walked through the doors of the Alternative Medical Center, I was made to feel welcome and at ease.

I was assigned a very friendly and knowledgeable personal assistant that was attentive to my needs, and I was escorted into the display room. I was extremely impressed by the wide variety of products available, something for everyone as they say. I found the quality of medicine to be second to none and superior to most. The prices are consistently the best I’ve found in town. At most dispensaries I receive a 5 percent veteran's discount. I chose to shop at the Alternative Medical Center because of the superior service, quality, and variety of the products offered. I discovered that even without a veteran's discount their prices are better than other dispensaries. I asked them how they were able to do this, and I was informed without hesitation that they value and appreciate all of their customers and try to be as helpful, fair, and compassionate as possible to all of their customers. When it’s possible to do more, they are happy to do so. This is how a truly compassionate dispensary operates. After I had already decided to make them my dispensary of choice, I was informed they offer veterans an additional $5.00 off their purchase, and I thought these guys are something else and this place is truly incredible. I urge each of you to do yourselves a favor and try The Alternative Medical Center. It certainly can’t hurt, and I’m sure you will be pleased if you did. As for me, my search is over. After a great deal of research and investigation, I am convinced The Alternative Medical Center is consistently the best dispensary in town. Drop by and see for yourself.

This is defintely a 5 star operation. Staff are very qualified and that's a huge advantage. Having a truly superior inventory and truly competive pricing are additional bonuses.

If you haven't been there, make it a priority to check them out.

The people who work there are ignorant and most don't know anything about weed. I got really stemmy weed. I found 10 stems in my bag without weed attached to them.

These guys are great, the owner is a harley rider hella cool, and gives the best deals in town. I've been to them all, and this guy is by far the greatest store out of all of them, and gives deals too. This is the store, no other will do. These guys prices are great and you get in and out with a free gift to first time people.

I go to this store cause I like the operation. I love some of the specials... Mango Tango for a very cheap eighth around first of month... Made my day... Love the service and can get a good deal if you talk to others and spend a little time in shop.

I wrote a review about a month ago where I voiced many concerns/complaints and it is very clear that they do read the reviews as there were many changes when I gave the club another shot. For example most of the codes on the clones now bear full names of the strain. The clones are up higher and I was asked numerous times"feel free to ask please don't be shy". This is very possitive in my book when a person makes a complaint and a club takes the time to read the reviews to better themselves. Thumbs up guys! I don't go out of my way to be negative about clubs but I am very honest and for the change I give them a good rating.

Wow this place is awesome! The atmosphere when you walk in just makes you wanna stay there. The staff is very helpful, they all know their stuff. Great selection on edibles. Talk about great customer service! You have got another loyal customer for life. Keep up the good work AMC!

What a great place!! The staff was very helpful and friendly. This collective has a wide variety of medicine and clones. They really have something for everyone. The non working fountain was not an issue for me. I will absolutely go back. Thank you for the great experience AMC!!!!!

People going to this club need to get out more. Club is wack! Yeah yeah fine receptionist that tries key word to trick you. I had to ask for free joint upon signing up, she made some excuse right away as if she's used to saying the same line all the time. Your treated like a child, no touching the jars. Meds are so-so and the concentrates suck bad. Shut them down already.

What's up with every single place in Sac getting 5 stars? Seriously.

I visited this club based on a coupon, and without the experience related to that I'd have given them a 4, so if you're not looking for freebies, pretend I gave it a 4 star rating.

I've been to, at this point, a dozen or so places around town and one in the bay, and this location was about average in most ways. Their prices ranged from super cheap to rather expensive. The top shelf was very medicating, looked and smelled pleasant, tasted nice, but was very harsh on the lungs. They had an absolutely great selection of clones, but I don't grow so I can't give any feedback on those.

As for my personal experience, I suffer from mild to severe social anxiety and as soon as I got into the dispensary area I was in a state of light panic. There were several other patients wandering, asking questions and looking at clones, and a few other budtenders, although I had one to myself. I mention this because I might have misheard or misunderstood some things. I had a coupon for a "free gram" or "two 1/8ths for 50", and upon realizing the "two 1/8ths" were for midgrade at best (no big surprise, but I had hoped otherwise) I figured I'd get the free gram. I was told (I thought) that the top shelf would get a free gram of kief, but with all the activity I was a bit panicky so I didn't say anything when I ended up paying too much (I figured I must've heard wrong) and when given a free joint, asked about my kief and was told they were out of it, so I got the joint instead. WTF, I was under the impression that all first timers got a joint, why did I even bring the coupon? I left feeling really anxious, which the meds fortunately did a great job of helping once I got home, but I will not return. There are better places around town.

This place has the best service, hands down. I've been going here eight months and have never had a problem. They have a wide variety and I've been very satisfied with over 90% of their meds. They have great outdoor strains for cheap. I use to roll fatties with a little of their top shelfs mixed in, which they usually have for awhile and it's super bomb indica. To top it all off the staff is totally people first and they all show their own passion and knowledge to their patients as best as they can. I've never been or even felt the slightest rush by them either, which sometime glaring eyes show but never here. Sac's best....

The lobby was pretty cool (kinda trippy egyptian statues) and the there was a foutain (didn't work) in the corner. Took awhile to get in but when I did I walked through this door to a dark room with about 4 or 5 people on their hands and knees in front of this small statue with a candle. My first thoughts after seeing the lobby was"WTF is this some sort of cult thing"? Actually the people were looking at trays upon trays of unmarked clones all over the wood floor (sure the owner of the building loves the water stains). They did have a huge selection but the things were all in code. Everyone knows what GDP is but not everyone knows what EP or DG or DVD whatever they were labled you had to ask and that seemed almost frowned upon. I would have rated higher had they just took the time to mark them properly instead of lable the whole tray in code, how stupid right? You had to handle some to get back to others, some were mixed, some were healthy some were sick. It was comparable to plants you buy at the roseville auction. There was a wide selection as I mentioned.

As for the meds I walked in and started asking about the clones and "what was up with that", and this guy told me "let me give you the run down" and droned off about 15 prices. I shook my hands and head showing I wasn't interested. Finally I listened and found a jar that I wanted to look at. I asked if I could check it out and he agreed. I picked it up and opened it and he freaked as if I were a chimp with a hand grenade and grabbed it away from me saying "let me do that for you". The girl was cool, kinda ditzy but cool none the less. The meds were pretty shabby "bammer" as the kids call it. And from what I read I was supposed to get a free joint upon first visit? No joint. I would go back if I was into clones but would look them over well. Also, for us who are disabled or have bad knees and backs, put them up on even a card table. Some of us can't crawl around on our hands and knees.

Don't be scared off by the freaky Egyptian statues in the lobby, this is a completely legit operation and well managed too.

Tried AMC today after looking all over the web for the best club in town. I found one in downtown and headed out there and it was the worst experience that I could have had for my first time. I would rather not mention where I went because they SUCK! But now for AMC, I would like to say it was the best thing that could have happened to me after a bad experience. My friend told me to stop by and they would prove what a club should be like. I needed my meds so I agreed to go and boy am I glad. The place was perfect and the meds were awesome. To be honest I was shocked at the night and day difference of how I felt about cannabis clubs after visiting this great club. Their budtenders were very patient with all my questions and made it a top priority to get me what I needed rather then getting me out of there fast. Well I was so happy with my visit that my friend said I should share it with the website she found the club at. And you guy's at AMC, thank you and you will be seeing more of me.

I must say that i have not been to a club ever in my life, but for my first time i was so impressed by the service,decor, smell and the medication was just great! I told the buddtenders it was my first time and they were so nice and respectful and funny were i felt i was in Amsterdam or something of that nature. Well i wrote this because i think they were wonderful for showing me a great experience for my fist time. And to the 2 gentlemen working that day thank and i hope you guy's stay around thank you boy's and ill be back many times.

This place is not great. they have no boards or signs or anything which is annoying. and they have some good weed (like 20-28 strains) but not great prices. i got a free brownie which was weak! only like 1 inch but 1 inch and not that great. then my friend got a free joint that he said was 1.2 of some outdoor tree but wen we broke it up to re roll it b/c it was hella loose,it was only .7g. so i dont plan on going back. although they did have some good strains...

I found the listing for this dispensary on this site and decided to visit today. Upon walking in the front door, I was impressed by the professional and personable staff. The selection of strains was impressive and the variety of products, aside from the bud I was seeking, was great. They seem to have a bit of everything from edibles to hash. I took some Orange Kush home but have yet to try it, although I am certain that it will be all that I expect. It is comforting to know that AMC is conveniently close to my workplace, has a great inventory, and provides a pleasant and welcoming experience.

I am truly impressed with the service and the meds I have seen in this collective. I also would like to thank the people on sacramento cannabis.com for letting people veiw the reviews on collectives without the collectives paying for the review services.That, I think makes it great for people to check out before they sign on with a wrong collective. All I could say is good meds, nice folks working there and easy to deal with down to earth people at amc. I was thinking about going there after the reviews I read about them and they are close to were I live. And after being there for 2 minutes I felt so relaxed. Then I got called up and the okay was there to let me in. Well, after I was in and met the group of guys and girls, they made me feel I was in a gallery of fine medication. Well, after the great chat and the great service, I got home and medicated on the best indica blend I've ever had in sacramento. BLACK DOMINA , try it if they got it. The nice, delicious and devastating black domina, as this guy put it there. Thank you very much and that's why I'm writing this for you guys out there. This is a very nice place - good meds at good prices. The budtender is kind and considerate. The club is in a good location and I feel completely safe without security standing guard. The lobby area is comfortable and the club itself is nicely laid out. I am really glad this club is here and close by!!

I took a ride the other day on my motorcycle to check this place out. Very impressed with their service. Beautiful decor & very friendly people. Offered me bottled water right as I walked in on a hot day, which was impressive. Great products, good price. Keep up the good work guys!

I have been to almost all of the clubs in Sacramento and I have to say that this is the best club I have been to the staff is the fantastic and the meds are some of the best I've had from a club in Sacramento. I have been to almost every club in Sacramento over the last couple months, AMC is one of, if not the best; the staff is the nicest and most helpful I've met yet, and the medicine was great, (recommend the purple kush). The facility is very comfortable, clean and easy to find. This is the first review I have written beacause no others were worthy, just want everyone else to have the great experience that I did. I have finally found my club!
